World Water Day is being observed across the globe on Wednesday.
The day is aimed at accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis across the world.
To enforce its Water Action Agenda, the United Nations will organize a three-day Water Conference with collaboration of Tajikistan and the Netherlands in New York today.
More than sixty five hundred delegations including a hundred ministers and a dozen heads of state and government representatives will participate in the Water Conference.
The conference is designed to deliver rapid progress on internationally-agreed water and sanitation targets, which are parts of the UN Sustainable Development Goal 6.
