Qatar Airways has made it mandatory for all passengers on outbound flights from Pakistan to have an RT-PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the flight.
The decision has been taken to curb the transmission of COVID-19 from Pakistan and will come into effect from 13 July.
According to details, Qatar Airways has authorized 4 laboratories where one can undergo COVID-19 diagnostic test at their own expense.
These designated laboratories are:
- Excel laboratories
- Agha Khan laboratories
- IDC laboratories
- Essa laboratories
Moreover, all passengers must also sign a consent form authorizing the laboratory to directly share the test details with Qatar Airways.
Children aged 12 or less have been exempted from the latest medical requirement of Qatar Airways.
In case a passenger does not furnish a copy of a negative RT-PCR test result along with a laboratory authentication form at the time of flight, Qatar Airways will not allow them to board the flight.
Qatar Airways has requested all Pakistani passengers to follow the latest guidelines to embark on a hassle-free journey.
Qatar Airways resumed the flight operations in Pakistan on June 15 after it had announced to suspend its services on June 3.
