Prime Minister Imran Khan says the government, for the first time in country’s history, has chalked out a comprehensive agricultural transformation plan and is implementing it on priority basis.
He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad on priority sectors to review progress on implementation of Agricultural Transformation Plan and Special Economic Zones.
The Prime Minister said with introduction of Kissan card, subsidy on fertilizer and genetic improvement of livestock, the government is aiming to achieve even higher yields as compared to the record yield achieved last year.
He said the government is also focused on increasing investment in Special Economic Zones for establishment of export oriented industries.
The Prime Minister said the government’s business friendly policies and focus on ease of doing business have started yielding positive results.
