The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FBR) Cyber Crime Wing has arrested two teenage students on cyberstalking and extortion charges.
As per details, the two intermediate students created a fake Instagram profile and befriended a boy.
They later recorded an objectionable video of the boy and started blackmailing him. These boys (names have been concealed) demanded Rs. 50,000 from the victim and threatened to leak the footage online in case of non-payment.
Director of Cyber Crime Wing Sindh Chapter said that his team acted on the complaint and traced the IP address’ location. A raid was conducted on Thursday in Karachi apprehending one of the accused. His accomplice was also arrested on his identification.
A case has been registered against them. However, both will remain under FIA’s custody for further investigation.
In April this year, the investigation agency had arrested an online blackmailer who lured young girls with fake job offers.
