Google to Launch Two Midrange Phones With the Same Pixel Experience.

Nearly a month after the launch of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, we’re seeing evidence of two new mid-rangers coming from the search engine giant.
Google has been making phones for eight years now, with the first ever Nexus phone coming out in 2010. Recently, the company named their phones Pixel since 2016, with the series getting famous for its exceptional cameras.

ARCore Teardown

Folks over at AndroidPolice have discovered evidence of two new Google phones in their latest ARCore APK teardown. ARCore is a development kit made by Google for making augmented reality apps. The APK also includes a list of supported devices.

Among other flagship devices like the Huawei Mate 20 X (HWEVR), OnePlus 6T (OnePlus6TSingle), Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 (perseus) and others, there were two unknown names “Bonito” and “Sargo”.

Google is known for naming its Nexus/Pixel phones after fish. The original Google Pixel and Pixel XL were codenamed Sailfish and Marlin before they were released.

Here’s the list:

Older rumors also point towards a potential Google-made mid-ranger powered by a Snapdragon 710 coming soon. Originally leaked by Roland Quandt back in June, Bonito was mentioned with Crosshatch and Blueline (Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL).

Release

It could arrive in December or early 2019, but it’s only a rumor at this point with no evidence or leak to back it up, so take it with a grain of salt.

An interesting detail worth mentioning here is that the phone codenamed Sargo could be the smaller one, as it’s a smaller fish compared to a Bonito.

It’s all pure speculation at this point, so don’t get your hopes up yet.
